NRNA-NCC Denmark organized a get together program with Nepalese Government Delegates

NRNA NCC Denmark organized a get together program with Nepalese Government delegates including Honourable Ministers Deepak Bohara, Sharad Singh Bhandari, Minendra Rijal, Surendra Pandey and CA Member Gagan Thapa and NRNA ICC delegates on December 11, 2009. During the event NRNA Vice President Mr. Jiba Lamichhane handed over 7000 US$ collected from NRNs to the Honourable Minister Deepak Bohara for the summiteers summit.

A team of NRNA NCC Denmark delegates met Constituent Assembly members from Nepal who were in Copenhagen for COP15. The delegate was led by Ramesh Rizal, the Chairman of Committee on Determining the Structure of Legislative Body. The talk focused on current political situation of Nepal.

The NCC delegates expressed its grave concern over deteriorating law and order situation in Nepal and slow process at constitution building. Besides, NRNA-NCC delegates also urged constituent assembly members to be serious and sincere in constitution making and requested them to give up petty personal based interest. During the meeting NCC delegates also raised the issue of dual citizenship and asked constituent assembly members to play active role in the assembly to create a conducive environment for secure investment in Nepal.

NRNA-NCC Denmark was represented at an interaction program with RH Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal organized by Nepali Embassy in Denmark. NRNA NCC Denmark delegates also met with Prime Minister at his hotel. The delegates briefed the following issues to the Prime Minister.

• Tax problem for Nepalese students in Denmark
• Conducive environment for NRN�s investment in various sectors in Nepal
• Dual citizenship for NRNs
• Constitution making
• Updating data base of Nepalese living abroad
• Providing consular services to Nepalese citizens imprisoned in various jails who need legal support
• Use of skills of NRNs

At the end, RH Prime Minister assured to look into the issues in positive light.
